Project Notes: Roofing Standards recently completed the installation of a 36 mil FiberTite roof system over an existing Built-Up Rock Roof at a Bank of America Salinas CA. The existing rock roof was prepped by removing/disposing of all loose dirt and gravel. Next a 1/4″ recover board was mechanically fastened over the existing BUR membrane creating a suitable substrate. Lastly, we installed a 36 mil FiberTite roof system per 15yr NDL specifications.

The new roof system included: removal and disposal of the old roof membrane, wood replacement, 1/4″ SecurRock recover board, new roof drains, correction of ponding areas, coping metal, and a mechanically 45 mil FiberTite KEE membrane. Roofing Standards finished this project on time and budget for Bank of America San Diego.

. The city requested that a color be used since the roof could be seen from above so terecotta was selected.
