In my opinion, Roofing Standards exemplifies a realization of the American Dream. The owner, Mike Lee, began his roofing career assisting his uncle with residential projects throughout Orange County and parts of Los Angeles. As his understanding of the trade developed, his vision evolved to the point that he wanted to start his own business, and after 20 years, Roofing Standards has become one of the premier roofing contractors in California. From humble beginnings, Roofing Standards has grown to become one of the most valued customers of Pacific Supply. Mike understands the importance of business relationships, and has instilled that importance in all of his people. This is evident in how his company interacts with ours. They work well with my sales staff, our logistic operations, and – very importantly in today’s economy – our credit department. As an observer, I can attribute his success to several factors. First, he realizes the importance of customer service, and how critical it is to make sure that every aspect of a project is handled efficiently, professionally, and promptly from the initial proposal to the final handshake. Secondly, he has surrounded himself with people – from installers to estimators – that realize how important this philosophy is. Consequently, as the manager of one of his supply yards, I am able to experience – as are Roofing Standard’s customers – the pleasure of dealing with a company that acts professionally from top to bottom.
